The following information is collected:

  • Identification Data and Contact Details (e.g., name, age, telephone number, email, login details);
  • Professional Information (e.g., workplace, position, medical field, qualifications, scientific activities, publications, credentials, congress activities, awards);
  • Financial Details (e.g., payment information, bank account details, tax identification);
  • Interaction Details (e.g., your interests, topics and materials discussed, feedback, prescribing habits, routines related to your use of our products, digital interaction data during your visits on our designated websites).

We obtain the Personal Data directly from you (websites, forms, emails, agreements) or indirectly through Ferring activities, publicly available sources, and third parties.

Purpose

Your Personal Data is used for the following purposes:

  • Enhancing our relationship with you, such as providing relevant information and tailoring communications to your needs, inviting you to medical events/congresses, or improving our interactions;
  • Complying with the terms and conditions specified in our agreements with you, which may involve activities such as medical events, advisory meetings, and, where applicable, reimbursing your expenses;
  • Fulfilling our legal obligations such as mandatory regulatory information and transparency requirements and confirming your identity.

Legal Basis

Your Personal Data will only be handled and used for the purposes above if:

  • we have obtained your consent according to applicable data protection and privacy laws, regulations, and directives;
  • we need to perform contractual obligations towards you or take pre-contractual steps at your request;
  • we need to comply with our legal, regulatory, or reporting obligations or to comply with a court/authority order; or
  • we have a legitimate business interest in improving our services or marketing.

Data Sharing

For the purposes listed above, third parties, such as those listed below may have access to your Personal Data:

  • Companies within the Ferring Group;
  • Suppliers and service providers (e.g., cloud providers, consultants, hosting suppliers, communications agencies, travel and events agencies, database providers such as IQVIA);
  • Business partners;
  • Competent supervisory, regulatory authorities, or courts.

When transferring Personal Data to a third party outside the European Economic Area (EEA) without an adequate level of data protection according to relevant authorities, we will protect your Personal Data by using Standard Data Protection Clauses or another transfer mechanism and by conducting a Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA).

Retention

Ferring will retain the Personal Data for a maximum period of 10 years after termination of our business relationship so that Ferring can comply with its legal obligations.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, update, delete, object, limit the processing of your Personal Data, request data portability and withdraw your consent. You can exercise these rights by contacting Ferring via the Data Subject Contact Form.

You can unsubscribe from any marketing communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” or the “opt-out” link in the emails from Ferring.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the relevant Supervisory Authority.

Security

We maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard Personal Data from unauthorized access or loss. While we continually monitor and update this security measures, please note that online protection is a shared responsibility.
